Residential Assistance for Families in Transition (RAFT) / Emergency Rental and Mortgage Assistance (ERMA)
RAFT and ERMA are homelessness prevention programs funded by the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD). RAFT provides short-term financial assistance to families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. The Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) has launched a new online application portal, https://dtaconnect.eohhs.mass.gov/, to help families apply for three programs:

Transitional Aid to Families with Dependent Children (TAFDC)

Emergency Aid to the Elderly, Disabled and Children (EAEDC)
Pandemic EBT Program (P-EBT):
Provides additional money for families to buy food while schools are closed due to COVID-19. Families with children who receive free or reduced price school meals under the National School Lunch Program will receive P-EBT funds.
